Chapel
A solemn and iconic structure serving as the permanent sanctuary of the Santo Entierro image. The architecture will blend traditional and modern design, incorporating flood-resistant features and accessibility for seniors and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Museum
A curated space preserving the legacy of the Santo Entierro, the Tablizo-Leonardo family, and the religious heritage of Catanduanes. Exhibits will include old photographs, original carozza parts, vintage vestments of the Santo Entierro, and traditional Holy Week artifacts.
Foundation Office
An administrative center for the Santo Entierro de Virac Foundation, Inc., facilitating year-round planning, coordination, and record-keeping.
Function Hall
A versatile venue for the Foundation’s annual Good Friday General Membership Meeting. The hall will also accommodate:
- Retreats and recollections
- Family reunions and gatherings
- Religious celebrations such as weddings and baptisms
- Seminars, workshops, and conferences
Hostel Rooms
Comfortable lodging for pilgrims, out-of-town family members, and retreat participants, particularly during Holy Week and other spiritual events.
Coffee Shop and Kitchen
A welcoming space offering local delicacies, snacks, and refreshments, encouraging fellowship and cultural appreciation.
Souvenir Shop
A retail space for religious items, locally made crafts, and meaningful memorabilia — supporting both faith and the local economy.
Open Garden with Gazebos
A tranquil outdoor area designed for prayer, reflection, and small gatherings, featuring shaded gazebos, native plants, and walking paths.
Ossuary Garden
A sacred and beautifully landscaped space dedicated to remembering departed loved ones, harmoniously integrated within the garden setting.
Modern Amenities
Visually striking installations and artworks that honor local culture while enhancing the site’s appeal to younger visitors and social media audiences.
Open Parking Spaces
Well-organized and secure parking areas to accommodate vehicles, tourist vans, and transport services.
Covered Walkways
Interconnected paths that link all major structures, inspired by abaca tree fibers—a proud tribute to Catanduanes as the Abaca Capital of the Philippines. Abaca-themed elements will be integrated throughout the architecture if possible.
Iconic Gates
Grand symbolically rich gates that serve as the complex’s official landmarks, equipped with modern security stations to ensure the safety and order of all visitors.
Wake Room
A solemn facility available to Foundation members, where wakes and viewings may be held, underscoring the Foundation’s commitment to spiritual care and compassionate service.
Other Facilities
Additional amenities as may be proposed by JSLA Architects, guided by community needs and the Foundation’s long-term vision.
